Autumn is ONE!

One year ago today, I was swollen faced, exhausted, drugged and thrilled to be holding my little girl in my arms. Today Autumn turned one. I can not even believe that a year has gone by. My precious little bundle is just about to walk, has likes, dislikes, a sense of humor and six whole teeth!

 October 28, 2012
We celebrated Autumn's birthday at our new house with family and friends.

Thanks to Bonnie and my dad for taking the photos of the party!
I went a little overboard...

Maybe really overboard...

I might of eaten a cup cake (or three) while setting up :)

Her month pictures lined the mantel to show how she changed month to month

Autumn was taking notes for next year on how to blow out a candle.

We were blessed with so many great gifts and even better company!
She got a rocking lion from Grandma Janet that she absolutely LOVES

Towards the end she started to understand there were fun things in the bags
After the cupcakes, gifts and attention, she was a little giggle monster, an extreme sugar high kind of attitude. Everyone left by 6:45 when we gave her dinner and shortly after we put her in her high chair we look over and see this...
First Birthday = success

Life has been crazy! Since my last blog update A LOT has happened, starting with our move from Lynnwood to Bellingham where we have been living with zero internet for the past 9 months. Here is a quick update of our life in the past 9 months.

~ We celebrated my brother Stephen and now sister in-law Taylor's wedding in a beautiful downtown
    Seattle wedding.
~ Autumn and I went to Texas for two weeks in March to visit my Grandmother Anna Lea whom
   Autumn Anna-Lea is named after.
~ We went to Sunpeaks Resort with two other couples with daughters the same age as Autumn.
~ We hung out with family and friends.
~ I joined Cornwall Mops, which is a good little break from my every day momma routine.
~ We celebrated the life and morned the death of Ben's grandpa James Kaemingk Sr.
~ We found out we are pregnant with a new little bundle due in January!
~ Once the weather got somewhat nice we were out at Ben's Dad's house enjoying Lake Whatcom and
    the summer air.
~ In June we celebrated Ben's 25 and my 23 Birthday.
~ We took a trip to Baltimore for Nathan and Di Kaemingk's wedding, celebrating at the Ripken
Stadium for their baseball themed wedding (very fun!)
~ After Baltimore we headed to Texas for two weeks for my Grandmothers 80th birthday, and for Ben
to finally meet my side of the family.
~ When we returned from our trip we started house hunting in Lynden.
~ In August Ben was offered a job at Dewaard and Bode, so we left Target and started there :)
~ We did A LOT of swimming and discovered Autumn is a complete water bug.
~ We found out we're having a boy!
~ We bought, and now are in the middle of "remodeling," our house.

I'm sure I missed some things but this is the list that came to mind :) I'll try to stay more consistent with blogging now that we have internet again wahoo!

Here are a few pictures that warm my heart from the past 9 months :)

Baby Love

Autumn is six days old today! We went on our first walk in the stroller and she was perfectly content sleeping away. The weather was beautiful and it felt good to get out of the house and walk around as a non-pregnant person :) Autumn has been sleeping well and is such a happy little baby!

Autumn Anna-Lea Kaemingk

On Friday, October 28, 2011, I woke up at 3:45am with contractions that were constantly coming every 5 minutes apart. I woke up Ben around 5am, and we went on a half our walk to get the ball rolling, we then watched The Sing Off, cleaned the apartment, ate some breakfast, I straightened my hair and painted my toe nails. The pain was never bad, but the contractions started coming every 3 to 4 min, so we went into the hospital around 9. Needless to say, we were admitted, and at 6:20pm on Friday, October 28, 2011, Autumn Kaemingk came into this world weighing a perfect 7lbs 14oz, and measuring at 21.25 inches.
At four days old, she could not be an easier baby (must be Ben's mellow personality) she is sleeping great and allowing us to sleep too. Ben has the next week off work, so we are enjoying our downtime as a family of three and loving her more then we thought was possible. We didn't know there was anything  missing in our lives until she became apart of it.

...Autumn...
You might notice her right eye is red because she got in a fight with my tail bone (back labor), but her battle wound should be gone in a week or so  :)
