Baby Love

Autumn is six days old today! We went on our first walk in the stroller and she was perfectly content sleeping away. The weather was beautiful and it felt good to get out of the house and walk around as a non-pregnant person :) Autumn has been sleeping well and is such a happy little baby!

Autumn Anna-Lea Kaemingk

On Friday, October 28, 2011, I woke up at 3:45am with contractions that were constantly coming every 5 minutes apart. I woke up Ben around 5am, and we went on a half our walk to get the ball rolling, we then watched The Sing Off, cleaned the apartment, ate some breakfast, I straightened my hair and painted my toe nails. The pain was never bad, but the contractions started coming every 3 to 4 min, so we went into the hospital around 9. Needless to say, we were admitted, and at 6:20pm on Friday, October 28, 2011, Autumn Kaemingk came into this world weighing a perfect 7lbs 14oz, and measuring at 21.25 inches.
At four days old, she could not be an easier baby (must be Ben's mellow personality) she is sleeping great and allowing us to sleep too. Ben has the next week off work, so we are enjoying our downtime as a family of three and loving her more then we thought was possible. We didn't know there was anything  missing in our lives until she became apart of it.

...Autumn...
You might notice her right eye is red because she got in a fight with my tail bone (back labor), but her battle wound should be gone in a week or so  :)

Fun in the Sun

This past weekend we celebrated Ben's moms birthday out at Semiahmoo with some barbecuing, rock throwing and for my entertainment picture taking :)

...Hudson, a rock throwing champ...
...I snuck a photo of Luke and Bonnie, they wove each other...
...Nathan (glowing haha)...
...My nephew, the little cutie with smashed watermelon in his hand...
...Bonnie took some photos of Ben and I (large and in charge at 31 weeks)...
(Ben's daily reaction to my belly)

It was a really fun weekend with a baby shower on Saturday morning, Janet's birthday party that night. Then on Sunday a day of swimming, boating and celebrating Jim (Ben's dad's) birthday out at their gorgeous lake house with family. Over all a very successful weekend of fun in the sun :)

Seahawks Preseason Game :)

Yesterday Ben and I were lounging around the house and got a call from a family friend asking us if we wanted some free tickets to the Seahawks game and YES, yes we did. Ben and I were able to go to the preseason game with not only each other but with Bonnie and Luke as well! (Ben's brother and sister in-law) I was super excited because I have never been to an NFL game, and with the new baby coming, we weren't going to be able to go this season, until we were blessed with these fantastic tickets!

There was a police bus outside the stadium...the officer was really nice and took a photo for us :)

After the photo op we got some kettle corn (and by some I mean two very large bags) and went into the stadium where we sat here...

After a successful night of loosing, a sore back, a lot of kettle corn, good conversation, and my first pregnant lady bathroom line skip it was over and I was more then ready to hit the hay for some much needed sleep. I am now looking forward to our next NFL game and the many more to come. Sounders and Mariners don't even compare to a Hawks game. Thanks Ben Nichols for the tickets! Completely made Ben's life and it was a great experience for me!

Crib Shenanigans

The men in brown brought our crib a day early :) and
thank God for Ben because this was as far as I could drag it into our apartment...

I am thankful for a handy husband, I can always trust him to put things together, build anything and as much as he dislikes it, he is a master at hanging chandeliers!

While Ben did this.....

I sat in the baby room here...and watched :)
(Thanks Kaylena for Autumn's first teddy bears)

After a solid hour of tedious fumbling with the child size allen wrench for Ben (and a wonderful hour of entertainment for me) it was finally Finished!
(his face says it all)

We ordered the crib online so it was exciting to see what the finished product looked like in person!

After a  fun relaxing night of crib building and antisipating baby girl I was ready for bed! Now its time to seriously start shopping for some baby bedding :) (wahoo)
